The "Sex and the City" sequel, Joe Carnahan's "The A-Team" and Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch!" are progressing and have secured production start dates, according to Production Weekly tweets.
The sequel to "Sex and the City," written and directed as was the first one by Patrick Michael King, is expected to begin shooting on Aug. 19 for two months in New York City, PW's tweet says, with two weeks of filming to take place in London. The subscription service IMDB Pro lists "SATC2" as "in production" with a status of "pre-production."
Zack ("300") Snyder's "Sucker Punch!" is scheduled to shoot from Sept. 10 through Jan. 29, 2010 at Vancouver Film Studios‎ in British Columbia, PW reported. IMDB Pro lists "Punch" as "in production" with a status of "pre-production."
Additionally, Joe Carnahan's bigscreen version of 1980s-era TV show "The A-Team," which has reportedly cast Bradley Cooper as its "face man," has "set up production offices at Mammoth Studios, with filming scheduled to begin mid-June." Since that's fast approaching, Fox is probably hoping to announce casting of key team-members as a package in the trades. IMDB Pro, which last week showed the project as "in development" now lists "A-Team" as "in production" with a status of "pre-production."
